About Us

Daval International Ltd was formed in the year 2000 after the company's founder David J Shotton was introduced to a scientific concept that provided the basis for what is now the first of a new generation of putative anti-inflammatory medications.

Intensive university based and in-house study has ensued and novel mechanisms of action and target therapeutic applications have been discovered and patented. An Orphan status designation has been awarded by the Therapeutic Goods Administration in Australia, where the medication is sourced and manufactured.

Daval is developing AIMSPRO® and Ceremben® for human and veterinary therapeutic applications, respectively. Both are now under Phase II trialing (in human and equine Randomised Controlled Trials) and both comply with modern Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) requirements. AIMSPRO is listed on the "export only" section of the Australian Registry of Therapeutic Goods (ARTG No. 146040; Product No. 234154).

Daval is a dynamic, privately owned company with over 1,000 shareholders. It has been awarded SME and EIS status under the EMEA and HMRC criteria, respectively. The company continues to be funded by investors as well as through revenue generated from Special Access programmes that allow doctors in certain countries to prescribe AIMSPRO on a "compassionate use" basis. The funds generated are used primarily to meet the costs of R & D (much of which is outsourced) and in particular to fund clinical trials, several more of which are at protocol development stage.

The company will continue to strive to satisfy all of our stakeholders, be they investors, suppliers or employees, but our principal concern is to guide these potential blockbuster products through to the stage where patients can benefit.

Several major pharmaceutical companies and a non-UK government investment vehicle have shown an interest in both products but Daval's approach to date has been to build value in the company in preparation for considering licensing arrangements.
