David founded Daval International Ltd in 2000. David, originally an engineer by trade, has been a serial entrepreneur since 1962, founding a number of businesses in the engineering and insurance sectors. Latterly becoming a business angel, as his final “project” he acquired the early intellectual property upon which he has driven the development of AIMSPRO and Ceremben.
Syed is a Professor of Medicine. His interests include Anti-ageing, Wellness and General Medicine. His extensive experience has been obtained through training at some of the foremost institutions in the United Kingdom (Guy’s and St.Thomas’s Hospitals) and the United States (Massachusetts General Hospital, Harvard Medical School and Tufts University, Boston). Syed has a wealth of clinical knowledge and experience together with extensive understanding of cellular signaling and factors regulating cellular growth and ageing. Syed has published over 30 peer-reviewed articles in several internationally renowned scientific journals and his work has been cited in over 500 peer-reviewed published articles worldwide.
An experienced international businessman with over 35 years in general management, operations, sales and marketing, he has lived and worked in Europe, Asia and North America. His considerable experience in the preparation and implementation of plans for new projects, acquisitions and divestments will be utilised as Daval undertakes negotiations with pharmaceutical companies to secure licenses for AIMSPRO and Ceremben.
Roger was an early investor in Daval and joined the Board in 2003. He previously owned a number of businesses in haulage, distribution and transport.
Brian joined the Board in 2001 and was Managing Director for six years. An international banking career spanning Africa, West Indies and North America led to him joining Hill Samuel, becoming Managing Director, Commercial Banking and Director/Chairman overseas subsidiaries and associates. He was also Chairman of Island Group (Island Records, Island Music and Island Films).
Graham joined the Board in 2001. Since entering accountancy in 1977, as a partner in an established Brighton based firm, he has continued in this profession throughout his career and currently runs his own successful practice, Graham Ralph & Co. Ltd.
Edward joined the Board in January 2011, having spent 14 years as a Management Consultant to the pharmaceutical industry. His major clients included Johnson & Johnson, Shire, GlaxoSmithKline and AstraZeneca and his assignments included the development of a novel stem cell therapy product from the research stage through to first in human and proof-of-concept trials and, most recently, the launch of a major cancer drug in the US.
Harish has been in the pharmacetical business since 1977 in various capacities and has been in retail pharmacy since 1982.He has been associated with Daval since inception and is the Responsible Pharmacist in charge of the regulatory affairs in dealings with the MHRA and the Specials License.
